Assignments effectively change the ownership of the intellectual property rights assigned, leaving the original owner with no further rights.

This Deed of Assignment is used whenever one person, or a company, wants to sell and/or transfer some or all of the intellectual property rights in a Trade Mark to another person or company.

• To transfer the rights in a brand whether registered or unregistered.

How to use this Deed of Trademark Assignment:

This Agreement is a standard form precedent. You will need to insert your details into the first line of the Agreement.

Ensure you have used all clauses required, and deleted those that aren’t.

The assignment states £1 as an example. Obtain legal advice before agreeing the assignment fee.

The agreement should be signed and returned to you before your brand is used by another party.
