Take part in Plagiarius Competition 2021 and submit your plagiarism cases to us. With our negative award “Plagiarius” we successfully put unscrupulous plagiarism in the public eye and thus sensitise the public to the problem. At the same time, we also increase the appreciation for intellectual property, i.e. for your innovative and creative achievements.
For the 45th time already, Aktion Plagiarius e.V. has announced the Plagiarius competition. As an entrepreneur, designer or inventor, you have the opportunity to submit your original products as well as supposed imitations and to suggest the plagiarist – be he manufacturer or dealer – as the winner of the negative award.
Before the annually changing jury of experts selects the prize winners from all submissions, the alleged imitators will be notified by us in writing of their nomination and will be given the opportunity to comment. The high level of awareness of “Plagiarius” has regularly shown its deterrent effect over the years: The fear of public embarrassment has already led many a plagiarist to seek an agreement with the original manufacturer and, for example, to take remaining stocks from the market, sign a cease-and-desist declaration or disclose suppliers.

The award ceremony is to take place during a press conference at the Frankfurt “International Consumer Goods Show”. During the show (April 17-20, 2021), all submitted originals and plagiarisms are to be exhibited in a prominent location. Afterwards, the award-winning products will be presented to a broad public at the Plagiarius Museum in Solingen as well as online and at Plagiarius exhibitions.
