On Friday 29th November, the Alliance for Intellectual Property is hosting the presentation of online copyright infringement tracker survey (9th Wave) & Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) report into the Impact of Counterfeiting on the UK Economy. ACID, along with nine other industry bodies from the digital branded and design sectors, are active members of the Alliance for IP.
Please find further information from the IPO below and do get in touch if you have any questions – we hope to see you there! Please note, the OCI tracker will be discussed in the morning and the OECD report after lunch (roughly 1pm).
Online infringement is a significant issue, especially for lone, micro and SME creators. ACID recently attended an Alibaba conference on the subject when some useful guidance was shared. Please see the ACID report and recommendations here.
Invitation to discuss (OCI) Tracker and the OECD report
The Intellectual Property Office invites you to discuss and participate in the release of three major pieces of research regarding enforcement and infringement. This is an excellent opportunity to interrogate the findings from this research and to give feedback to the IPO on the research methodology.
There will also be an opportunity at the end of the day to consider what this research tells us – what are the commonalities and where are the gaps which will help inform how the IPO moves forward.
Date/Time: Friday 29th November 2019, 10.30-15.30
Location: BPI, 2nd Floor, Riverside Building, London, SE1 7JA
Please RSVP by Thursday 14th November to [email protected]
