By signing the ACID IP Charter, you are making a public statement that you are anti copying in design and are giving a commitment to uphold ethics, respect, and compliance as a minimum to designers of original works.
ACID is the trading name of Anti Copying in Design (ACID) Limited, an English registered company which has the company number No. 3402512 and Registered Head Office Fifth Floor, Suite 23, 63/66 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8LE. ACID is a membership organisation, committed to raising awareness and encouraging respect for intellectual property within corporate social responsibility. Any correspondence should be sent to ACID Ltd, 34 Electroline House, 15 Lion Road, Twickenham, TW1 4JH. By committing to anti copying as a signatory to the ACID IP Charter you are part of the ACID community which is committed to its objectives to the benefit of its members.
Prior to becoming an ACID Charter Signatory, you must ensure that you read and understand these following Terms & Conditions. Please ensure that you also read and understand the Charter Signatory Code of Conduct below.
By committing as a signatory of the ACID IP Charter, we will grant you a non-exclusive licence to use the ACID Charter Signatory logo in the course of your business in order to communicate to the public the fact that you have signed the ACID IP Charter for the purposes explained in these terms and conditions. The ACID name and logo are registered trade marks owned by ACID. The ACID IP Charter Logo may be utilised on your headed notepaper, web site, email signatures and other marketing and publicity material. As part of the license granted to you, we licence you to represent that you are an ACID Charter Signatory and encourage you to promote this fact as we believe that this is a powerful symbol of deterrence in anti-copying and IP theft related strategy.
On payment of the Charter Signatory fee, we will provide you with the necessary image files in order that you may incorporate the use of the ACID Charter Signatory logo in support of our campaign.
ACID will contact Charter Signatories from time to time with additional information that is likely to be of interest in addition to news bulletins and offers. We reserve the right to promote Signatories use of the ACID Charter Signatory logo, which may involve promotion of your website and social media channels.
Please read and understand this code of conduct before completing your application to become a Signatory of the ACID IP Charter and a supporter of the ACID Community.
This Code of Conduct contains a framework of values, with the intention of providing the public with assurances as to the integrity of the designs and conduct of all those who agree to this Code of Conduct and the expectation that others will demonstrate ethics, respect, and compliance as a minimum to designers of original works. All Charter Signatories are expected to comply with both the letter and spirit of the Principles of Conduct.
Being a signatory to the ACID IP Charter is a one-off payment.
We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any third parties.
When your resignation from the ACID IP Charter takes effect, the licence you had for the use of the ACID name and logo is automatically revoked.
You must remove immediately the ACID name and logo from your publicity material, web site and other media on which you have used the ACID IP Charter Logo and/or ACID name and logo. As you are no longer a Signatory you cannot benefit from your prior association with ACID and we hope you understand that.
