We are absolutely delighted to celebrate Anti Copying In Design (ACID) member Samuel Chan, founder of Channels and Joined + Jointed, on his installation as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers. This well-deserved honour recognises not only Samuel’s outstanding contribution to British furniture design but also his deep commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration and innovation within the creative industries.

Samuel Chan, Founder of Channels and Joined + Jointed, says, “It’s an honour to be a Liveryman of the Company of Furniture Makers. At my installation I was especially pleased to see the familiar face of Dids Macdonald, a past Master of the Company who was kind enough to be my proposer. Dids and ACID have tirelessly upheld the cause of British design, motivated by a belief in its originality, quality and value. I’m grateful to Dids for her support and wisdom since the earliest years of my career, and that ACID continues to do such important work within our industry”.

Now, through Joined + Jointed, he has built a collective of celebrated designers and artisans united by a shared passion for contemporary design and meticulous craft.
