Three ACID Members Awarded Prestigious 2026 Design Guild Marks

Anti Copying in Design (ACID) is delighted to celebrate a prestigious moment for several of its members, following the announcement of the 2026 Design Guild Mark of excellence during Clerkenwell Design Week.

The Design Guild Mark is one of the UK’s most respected honours for excellence in British industrial design. Established in 2008 by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the non-profit awards programme recognises outstanding achievement across Furniture, Interior Design Elements and Lighting, with entries judged on innovation, functionality, form, brand impact and environmental responsibility.

Among this year’s recipients were three ACID members whose work exemplifies the strength, creativity and craftsmanship of British design.

In the Furniture category, Alta and Sylva collections by Jones + Partners and the Levity Collection by Gaze Burvill were both recognised with a 2026 Design Guild Mark, celebrating exceptional design thinking and enduring craftsmanship.

Within the Interior Design Elements category, two collections designed by Zoran Matijevic for Crofts & Assinder also received recognition. The Fenchurch Handle Range and the Skomer Handle Range were both awarded Design Guild Marks for their innovative and refined approach to interior hardware design.

Adding further significance to this year’s awards, Alexander Crofts, CEO of Crofts & Assinder, served as chairman of the Design Guild Mark and was part of the judging panel overseeing the awards programme during its milestone 20th anniversary year.

Commenting on the awards, Design Guild Mark Chairman and ACID Council member Alex Crofts said: “The calibre and diversity of this year’s entries once again demonstrate the strength of British design talent, bringing together designers at every stage of their careers through a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and craftsmanship.”

At ACID, we are proud to see our members recognised among the very best of British design. These marks of excellence not only celebrate outstanding creativity and innovation, but also highlight the importance of protecting and championing original design across the UK’s creative industries.
