ACID Members to Benefit from Show Stand Discount at BCTF

Anti Copying In Design supports the British Craft Trade Fair by sponsoring their Post Newcomer Award at their annual event in Harrogate with a trophy, £100 voucher and a year’s free membership of ACID.

As part of the ongoing package of support for the British Craft Trade Fair, ACID members will now be eligible to receive a 10% discount on qualifying costs of exhibiting at their renowned Harrogate show from 2021.

ACID CEO Dids Macdonald OBE., commented “ACID wants to support its members to attend and exhibit at quality trade shows that respect and support the protection of original designs and their creators.  The BCTF is a show that we have been associated with for a number of years and we hope this discount will encourage more craft designers to join the ACID Community.”

BCTF organiser, Margeret Bunn, said: “We are very pleased to once again be working with ACID on the 2020 show and fully support all the great work they are doing to help designers and companies safeguard their original designs against copyright theft. Last year the Post Newcomer award was won by the fantastic Sandra Vick and I’m really looking forward to seeing who ACID selects at this year’s show.

It is very important for designers to be aware that any creative work is potentially vulnerable to being copied as there are plenty of unscrupulous people out there who want to make easy money on the back of somebody else’s hard work. I would urge all our exhibitors to take steps to protect their work from copyright thieves.”
