ACID CEO Dids Macdonald bravely put her new hip forward to join the Master of the Furniture Makers’ Company, David Woodward, and his family at the end of his 1000-mile epic walking marathon, to raise funds for the Furniture Makers’ Company, the furniture and furnishings Charity. Captain Pugwash AKA Past Master Tony Smart navigated his way expertly on Canal barge Audouin’s Gull to support the trip.
The last part of the walk which Dids joined at the weekend is the 91-mile journey along the Grand Union Canal. It will finish at the Furniture Makers’ Hall on Sunday April 10th.
Commenting on the walk, Dids said, “What the Master has achieved for our industry is incredible. He has galvanised our sector in all sorts of fundraising events during the last two-year period and a seismic £275,000+ has been achieved. This last 91-mile walk is a culmination of an epic journey. Shelagh, and I are proud to play a tiny part. If you are able to sponsor my part in the walk, it’s not too late – please click here and give a shout out to David Woodward here.”
